WE’RE RECRUITING! We’re on the hunt for a qualified and experienced childcare professional who wants to join our team to act as Preschool Manager whilst our current Manager is on Maternity Leave.

We’re seeking to recruit a committed and experienced Preschool Manager to work with an experienced and long-serving team on a short-term contract of seven months for maternity cover, with possible permanent role of Deputy Manager available following the end of the contract.

Key duties will include:

  • Day to day management of the preschool, adhering to policies and procedures at all times, and meeting legal requirements
  • Organise staff rotas, as well as acting as lead or assistant during Preschool sessions as required
  • Planning activities and arranging resources with the staff team
  • Staff, Student and Volunteer management including inducting, supervising and appraising staff and developing staff rotas
  • Key Person duties, including parent/carer liaison and working with other agencies
  • Continuous monitoring of policies, quality, standards, risk, safeguarding and inclusive practice in our Setting
  • Work closely with Management Committee to ensure the smooth running of the business
  • Financial and funding management including headcount administration, grant applications, payroll, managing budgeted funds and taking part in fund raising events
  • The Setting SENCO
  • The Setting Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO)
